The Big Splash! A Jussi Milestone 💦

The big man has big legs and hips and after discovering some minor muscle deterioration it was important we built them up with some low impact exercise like hydrotherapy. 🏊

Our first visit was, well, a bit of a trial after taking 20 minutes to get Juss in the pool. He refused to budge and took up to 4 people to get him in.

After 2 months of weekly visits the big man beats us getting in and has just taken to launching himself!

A great sign he loves it more than hates it.

Whether it's the feeling of accomplishment, the surge of adrenaline, spending quality time with the people he loves or just the pure fun, Jussman is now a poolman!

A MASSIVE thank you to Donna, Robyn and the other Hydrotherapist and team at @noahscrossingvet for being so patient and assisting us with the big wet mop head ❤️

The Jussman is now stronger, built muscle, in less pain and generally happy, lean and fit!

A great service to build physical and mental strength and we especially love the bonding time we get with out beloved Jussi Goosey.

We have had a VERY busy week with Dayschool, Board & Train, Rehabilitation, Puppy School and Private Lessons and it has been one hell of a journey 😍

A journey we cannot wait to start again next week! 👊

Feeding the Pickle - No bowls allowed!

Tycho has now been a part of our team and family for 7 weeks and boy he is getting big FAST!

Another thing this little floof is fast at is eating. Tycho has a high food drive and will gobble anything without a second thought (we are sure you have seen his flower video 🥀😂).

To help him regulate, provide more enrichment, and stimulation we have not fed him from a dog bowl, not once!

Here is just a FEW of the vessels Pickle Pants has enjoyed using for his feeding and training 😍

Dog bowls are a waste of a good and easy opportunity, the longer your pup or adult dog takes to eat their food, the less time and energy they have for unwanted behaviours. Not to mention the possible health benefits too.

It of course is not the only answer to your dogs woes but it is a damn good start and there are plenty more ways to enrich a dogs day then just feeding times.

With such an amazing range of toys and feeding vessels, both bought and home made, there is really no excuse for not providing more enrichment with food.

Yesterday we had our very own Pippy join us at @the_grove_shopping_centre 😍🐾

Pippy came into our Director Scott's care after being abandoned by her previous owners as a young pup.

After a quick name change (formerly Fifi), Pippy fitted into the household perfectly and soon became one of the family.

We were so proud of her yesterday, showing off her tricks, dealing out licks and pats like they were going out of fashion and even a quick dancing competition with a young fan 😍🐾

We are at @the_grove_shopping_centre until Sunday, swing by, grab some info, ask some questions and of course meet some of our Canine Crew 🐶

These guys spent their last lesson learning about the benefits of tricks, conditioning and engagement training ❤️🐾

Nothing warmed the hearts of our trainers then seeing each puppy do the 'Paws Up" with such confidence and excitement 😍

Next week they join the Hydrotherapist for their 'Learn to Swim" lesson in the pool 🏊
