| Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: We worked on his off-lead loose lead and drops in the paddock today. He showed some awesome engagement with the trainer. We were able to have him in a drop position and the trainer could move around him at a distance then recall him back to us, then release. | Focus: Distraction | B+ |
| Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: We worked on his wave skill this session. Focusing on getting multiple waves in a row before rewarding him. He tends to wave just the once and then puts his foot back down, however today we were able to build it up to at least two swipes! He is showing some better understanding but still needs some practice. Withholding the reward until he does it again is a good way to build some healthy frustration - he will then try again! | Focus: Repetition | C+ |
| Skill learnt: Spin | Comment: For his last session today Zimba worked on some spins, then progressed to spins while walking. He did well, although a little bit slow. He showed good understanding of the skill but needed a little refresher to begin with. This is a fun skill to incorporate into your normal walks, it keeps them engaged and is a bit of fun! | Focus: Repetition | B+ |
