Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Desensitisation Comment: For her first session the trainer took her to the classroom to just raise a little confidence and do a little exposure! The trainer was easily able to grab her from the pet resort and bring her into the classroom, they believe the meeting last week helped her relax a little more around the trainer. While in the classroom she was a little hesitant to be close so the trainer would reward her for being in nice and close and eventually she was sitting next to the trainer without an issue. The trainer also decided to bring out the bubble machine and had this going near her in the classroom, every time she approached in or interacted with the bubbles she was as rewarded and praised, eventually she found it very easy to approach and take treats while bubbles were raining down on her! She did great this first session and the trainer is already seeing a difference in her confidence! Focus: Confidence X
Skill learnt: Crate Training Comment: For her second session like her brother Tilly was worked on her crate skills! Tilly was actually really brave today and was easily following treats in and out of the crate when both doors were open, she happily would go in and out following the treats and even went in on her own without the treats! However once one door was closed she came a little more hesitant, however though patients and lots of food lures even with the door closed she was going in which is great! The trainer thought it best to finish with some sit and drop and a few little cuddles with her new favourite trainer Aidan to really solidify that being here and doing training is fun and a happy occasion! To finish off the trainer put her into the crate for her to be in here In between this session and her last one, she went in happily and is currently remaining calmly in the crate! Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her last session today the trainer Worked on some basics obedience skills with big focus on place. She also allowed the trainer to have cuddles this session which is suggests she is opening up more this session to the trainer. They just worked on the basics to make sure she had them down packed and nice and strong, this also helps her settle in to the environment a lot easier as well. The trainer is very proud of her progress today and she is already seeming a lot calmer around area and trainers, loose lead walked back to kennels with no issues and even greeted some kennel staff! She is already coming out of her shell but her place skills are very basic and need to be worked on, today she was just luring on and off the place bed with no verbal introduced. Focus: Confidence C
