Opal's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-02-06

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: After a quick photoshoot in our spa day week and valentines booth we worked on some nail board conditioning with Opal. This can be a great way to teach them to file down their nails themselves! Opal was very distracted wanting cuddles as per usual so it did take some time to get her to interact with the board. We were able to get her to put her paw on it a few times but she hasn't quite got the scratching it yet but this is something we can keep working on! Focus: Conditioning C
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For her second session we continued with some paw conditioning by working on her shake/paw skill. Opal was much more into it this week and was able to get a lot of good repetitions throughout the session. We did try doing some photos of her with some nail clippers but she kept trying to eat them and then kept licking the trainer's hand holding her paw so could use a bit more work on this. Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her last session we worked on the place skill with trainer distractions. Opal was a bit cheeky with this, especially if the trainer crouched down and asked her for cuddles. We did see some improvement over the session so keep up with this at home! Focus: Distraction B

We recommend your next step should be…
