2024-03-06

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we worked on loose lead in the cattery as it was too warm outside. Marcel did well in this environment but would get a bit distracted by the cats, especially one that was hissing at him. In the latter half we worked on some confidence building with the cattery stairs - Marcel was quite reluctant to go on these and we were only able to encourage him up to the second stair before the end of the session. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For his second session we worked on the drop skill with duration and low energy movements. Marcel broke early quite a bit at the start of the session so we had to keep guiding him back into the drop. As he improved we were able to do some walking around him and low energy movements without him breaking but he would get up for sudden noises (people knocking on the door) or higher energy movements. Keep strengthening this skill at home around increasing distraction levels to help it in different environments. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his last session we revisited his loose lead outside in the shade. He walked nicely but wasn't very engaged with the trainer. For the last 5 minutes we moved onto the grass area and he perked up a bit here and actually gave some better engagement! Practice his loose lead in lots of different areas so that he can give good focus no matter where he is or what is around him. Focus: Distraction B

We recommend your next step should be…
