2024-03-13

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Maggie’s first session we worked on her place skill. She is showing some progress in this and beginning to pick up the verbal cue paired with a hand signal. Today we worked on her duration around low energy trainer movement. She did step off before her release word “free” but we were able to redirect her back to the bed easily. Keep building her duration at home before increasing distraction levels. Focus: Duration C+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Maggie’s second session we worked on her loose lead and some confidence building. We started her loose lead on the pavement to build engagement and she did really well here so we moved into the cattery for a different environment and additional distractions. Initially she was a bit unsure about the cats and rabbits but quickly settled and kept the pace with her trainer. We finished up going up and down the cattery stairs, stairs are great for confidence building and Maggie smashed it! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For Maggie’s final session we worked on the foundations of drop. Maggie is still in very early stages of this skill and reluctant to be lured from a sit but will begin to slightly bow when being lured from a stand. She won’t go all the way down but small progress is still progress! Keep working on this at home to build strong foundations. We finished the session with the wobble board for some fun and extra confidence building! Focus: Foundation X
