2024-03-06

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session today the trainer wanted to form a bond with her as they hand worked with her before. This is why the first half of this session was spent on the pet resort just get her use to the new trainer. She avoided him for a little bit but as they started using some good to entice her over she was quick to open up to them and allow a lead to be placed on her! Her loose lead still needs a bit of work but it seems to be mostly a distraction issue so working on her engagement was a big part of the session and should be a focus going forward. Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her second session the trainer worked on her place skill. She didn’t seem to know too much of this skill so the trainer just worked on the basics of luring her up and on to the bed and releasing her off. She did quite well opening up to the trainer and was quickly taking and luring the food rewards which is great! She seemed to really open up at the end of the session where she was as happily going on and off the place bed! Focus: Foundation C
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: For her final session today the trainer wanted to finish on some fun to really solidify in Maggie’s memory that this place is fun and so is training! The trainer worked on her touch skill, this is her ability to touch a target with either her nose or her paw. She hadn’t done this before so the trainer just started from scratch, this was just every time she touched the trainers hand she was marked and rewarded, by the end of the session she was happily going for the trainers hand with her nose! She had a great day today and really seemed to come out of her shell more! We can’t wait to see her again soon. Focus: Foundation C
