2024-02-01

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Exposure Comment: First session Bo had some fun for our Art Week! Bo did a paw painting! She was a bit reluctant having her paws handled so the first part of the session was conditioning her to having her paws handled, rewarding her for calmness and not trying to pull away. As the session progressed we were able to hold her paw for longer and by the end of it do the painting! Great work Bo! Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In Bo’s second session we worked on her loose lead. Today we worked outside and added food distractions (biscuits on plates). We started a couple of metres away gradually getting closer, rewarding Bo each time she engaged with us and didn’t pull towards the food. By the end of the session we were able to walk figure 8s around the plates of food which also helped Bo practise her inner and outer turns. Bo does like to go from the left side to the right and back, she tends to not stay on one preferred side Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Final session Bo worked on her drops. We worked in the classroom and had the trainer running around with high energy and asking Bo to drop. She did really well throughout this whole session, only going to jump on the trainer once and put herself in a drop when told uh uh. It’s important to be consistent and firm with her boundaries regarding her jumping, she knows she’s not allowed to do this so a firm “drop” or “uh uh” will help. Focus: Manners B

We recommend your next step should be…
