Boat's Doggy Dayschool Report

2024-03-05

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: For Boat first session today, we worked on his middles skill. This is definitely one of Boats favourite skills! He understands entering middles from behind you, but struggles with entering from in front of you. To improve this, we used a lure to show Boat the path he should be taking. He quickly understood the skill, and we can now continue working on phasing out this lure. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: To add some extra distraction and festivity to Boats place skill, we set up some fun cones with flowers and feathers. At first, all Boat wanted to do was eat the feathers. But after refocusing on his trainer. He began to ignore the crazy environment and focus on his place skill, even with a dancing trainer, he stayed on place and showed great duration. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For boats final session, we continued to work on his hold skill. Boat showed a lot of interest in chewing more than holding. To try and reduce this, we switched to holding a harder object, and then rewarding sooner, to avoid rewarding the chewing habit. We can further work to improve this skill, increasing the duration as well. Focus: Repetition C+

We recommend your next step should be…
