Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: Zimba’s first session was the confidence course. Zimba was very nervous about entering the course and took a while before he would go in. Once in he did go through the course part way. But still avoids walking on the iron part. Once back in the classroom the trainer started a little session with paws up. It took a little while but Zimba did get a couple of paws up on the step which was awesome and he was quite proud of himself. At home keep trying to lure him on different items. This will build his confidence immensely. Focus: Confidence X
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Next up for Zimba was loose lead walking. He did get distracted at the beginning with a dog barking at him. Zimba tried to pull to get to the dog but the trainer used the Uhuh word and changed direction. Once away from the dog Zimba walked much better. Towards the end of the session Zimba was once again distracted by another dog. However this time he was calmer and although he watched the dog he didn’t pull and was able to walk passed it numerous times without reaction. Awesome work. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Lastly for Zimba was recalls. Again the the trainer did these in the class. The trainer would run away from Zimba, calling him. Last time this worked well but this time he wasn’t as enthusiastic. He got a number of good recalls in but has done better! Focus: Repetition C+

We recommend your next step should be…
