|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: Zimba’s first session was a confidence walk. The trainer took him to a different paddock today where there are some low hanging trees and a big log on the ground. Zimba was quite nervous approaching the trees as they gave off odd shadows and the branches were low and waving with the breeze. Using treats the trainer encouraged him forward and he came up to the log well and had no problems doing paws up on it. This was fantastic considering how nervous he was to start with to approach the area. Awesome work Zimba.||Focus: Confidence||B+|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: Next up was container conditioning. As per previous sessions the trainer encouraged Zimba to put his head in the container by putting treats around the edge and in the container. Today he actually ate from the bottom of the container. He only did it twice but he did it!! Keep trying at home with high value treats.||Focus: Conditioning||B|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: Last up was recalls. The trainer took Zimba up near the top parking area. There were lots of distractions including birds in the trees dropping gum nuts onto the ground. Although Zimba still needed a little tug on the lead to get his attention with was minimal. Once he saw the chicken in the trainers hands Zimba came towards the trainer. It was a great session. High value treats do make a big difference.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
