Zimba's Doggy Dayschool Report

2023-09-12

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Zimba went down to the lower paddock to put some repetitions in with his recall. The sheep had recently been through this field so there were a lot of smell distractions for Zimba to work through. His engagement was lacking this lesson as he stopped to sniff spots the sheep had been over. He was inconsistent with his recall today, coming back immediately some times, although ignoring the trainer to continue smelling others, needing to reel him in a little bit. Focus: Obedience B
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Zimba revisited this skill, performing it on a bunch of different obstacles in the classroom. Zimba did well on the bigger ones but was hesitant to put both legs on the smaller ones. We put some time in getting Zimba comfortable putting his weight from both legs on the smaller obstacles. Focus: Confidence C
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Zimba worked on his loose lead right next to the fence of the paddock where there was another dog having a paddock and play. We practice recalling him away from the other dog while he was trying to get his attention. Zimba paid no attention to the other dog, coming back every time. Focus: Distraction A
