|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: Zimba’s first session focused on his recalls outside. We practiced these on a normal length lead to really drill it into him. He struggled to focus at the beginning of this session but eventually paid more and more attention towards the trainer. He was taking treats straight away as well, this shows he is really settling in this environment. Zimba’s recalls are definitely improving but still need some work.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building)||Comment: Zimba’s second session today was focused on confidence building using the hoop. Since he managed to do it last time but with some encouragement we decided to get him to do it more on his own. This meant the first few we only gave him one option (to go through) but we started to just throw a treat through and let him figure it out. He did really well with this and gained more and more confidence. By the end of the session he was doing it completely by himself with only slight guidance from the trainer. Good job Zimba!||Focus: Confidence||B+|
|Skill learnt: Spin||Comment: For his last session today Zimba worked on his spins! Since he is doing really well with the basic of spin we decided to change it up a bit. To do this we got him to practice while walking. While walking along we have him on our left, lure him to his left (away from us) and then as he comes back around he falls back in line with us to continue walking. This is good for when u are out walking and need to get his focus! You can practice a few spins as you’re walking along and he will engage much quicker! Go Zimba, he did really well today!||Focus: Repetition||B+|
