Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Firstly we worked on Zimbas recall skills. It’s quite nice and overcast today so I took him outside on a slip and long line to practice. We worked on sitting and holding the sit til he was recalled. We also recalled off dogs that were having their paddock and plays. Next time we will work on holding his sit for longer before recall. Focus: Duration B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Secondly we worked on Zimbas loose leash skills, we did a double session with him as well as recall since the weather was super nice and he was pretty motivated. I had him on the long line and was just rewarding him for walking next to me and holding engagement. Next time we will increase distractions to try and proof this behaviour further. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) Comment: Lastly we worked on paws up again, and he has improved so much since yesterday’s session! He stood with both legs on the blocks, he understood what he was meant to do, and even held the position for a while. Next time we will work on duration. Focus: Confidence B+
