2022-05-02

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: For his first session today we worked on water conditioning with the clam shell. We filled it with just a little bit of water (about 2 cm deep) and place treats all around. He was so brave today and even started to stick his nose in to get the treats. He spent most of the time licking the water so he will be very hydrated today! He did so well today and has grown in his confidence around water. Focus: Conditioning X
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Zimba’s second session today was all about his recalls. Today we decided to test him, we worked in the grassed training area on a long line. If the trainer remained really upbeat and excited Zimba had no problems recalling back to us. However if the trainer stood still and didn’t have much energy Zimba would find better things to do (sniff sheep poo). It’s important to know the value of treats and level of energy the trainer possesses. Zimba has come along well, we didn’t do the entire session on a long lead as he got very tired towards the end and less likely to focus. Focus: Distance B
Skill learnt: Ring a Bell Comment: For his last session today Zimba worked on his ring the bell skill. We are still focusing on getting him to bite and pull the rope. He would do this if the trainer held the rope but didn’t show much inclination if the rope was just hanging. Keep working on this at home, perhaps start tying the piece of rope to something so it is just dangling. Focus: Foundation B

We recommend your next step should be…
