Zazu put in some solid progress to her “dunk it” skill today with Sam and has started to learn the next step of getting her paws up to dunk the ball.

| Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: Started her day off strong putting the ball into the hoop straight away, she seems to have a pretty good understanding for the verbal command but the trainer is still having to sit near the hoop and point at it to help her target. The trainer was able to raise the height once’s again during this session successfully and it is close to being at a height that she must soon reach for the hoop. | Focus: Conditioning | B+ |
| Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object) | Comment: Since the height is starting to get close to where she will need to put her paws up onto the board in order to reach it the trainer started to do some paws up against the wall to start simulating what she will need to do to dunk the ball, once this skill is strong the trainer is going to chain it with her “dunk it” command. The session went well, she was a little hesitant to do paws up on the wall so the trainer used the grass cubes instead and slowly walked her closer towards the wall. | Focus: Back to Basics | B+ |
| Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For her last session today the trainer attempted to pair the two first sessions together however Zazu wasn’t ready just yet for this merger, so the trainer spilt the session into two, the first half working a bit more on her paws up while it was still fresh in her memory and the second half was spent doing some more “dunk it” as to make sure the skill was fresh and ready to go for her next round of sessions with Sam in a few days. She finished the day strong with some great dunks and some happy celebration dancing! | Focus: Conditioning | B+ |
