Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Her first session today Yumi worked on her loose lead walking. We started in the kennels next to the outdoor runs to see how she would react to those dogs. She couldn’t care less about the little dogs barking and running around so we could focus on getting her engagement and keeping her on our left. After a few minutes here we moved to the carpark where there was a lawnmower going and another dog distraction. We started at a big distance and slowly decreased it. By the end of the session Yumi was super engaged with the trainer and not bothered by any of the dogs around her. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Yumi’s second session today was focused on her place training. We started in the classroom to see how much knowledge she had of the skill and she did really well. We were able to progress to outside near another dog training. We worked on sending her to and from place, some duration and also mild trainer distractions. Yumi did so well today for her first day! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Had a go with Yumi’s drops today, she did not respond to the verbal commands so had to mostly use lures but as she progressed she finished with dropping with a small hand gesture but still with treats, recommend working on decreasing the size of hand gestures and stop the use of lures, she is still starting this skill so keep the repetitions short and distractions low. Focus: Foundation C+

We recommend your next step should be…
