Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Woody worked on his place skill with his sister, working on their vacuum desensitisation. Woody did very well this lesson, locked on to his trainer with engagement. Woody didn't flinch for the majority of the lesson, completely ignoring the vacuum. Woody stepped off a couple times, although this was between the vacuum being on Focus: Desensitisation B+
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: Woody started learning how to follow a treat lure backwards, which can help lead into some different skills he can learn. Woody was a bit confused at first, going into a sit. After a bit of repetition we got him taking a step back each time before rewarding. We continued to push him, getting him to take a few steps back consistently. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We took Woody out to the play pen to work on his loose lead walking, letting him off lead and keeping him walking next to us. Woody did very well, staying by his trainer's side locked on for the majority of the lesson. We had dogs in the play pen next to us as a distraction, which caught his attention every now and then but this didn't stop Woody from completing the skill. As he was absolutely smashing the skill we added in some off lead middles as well, which challenged Woody, but with a lure he consistently went into position. Focus: Obedience A
