Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: For his first session the trainer just wanted to motivate woody correctly to get his drive up for the rest of the day, the bigger the drive the more fun but also the more successful the training usually is. To do this they had Woody in the classroom and set up a little obstacle course for him to do some of his skills through. Todays focus was on him jumping over things and weaving around them. In order to do this the trainer set up the 3 ottomans on the non slip mats and had woody jumping between the ottomans! Along with this the trainer also worked on some drops, place, sit, spin and hoop jump during this session periodically as well. All in all a great first session. Focus: Obedience B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his second session today the trainer continued some training with his “parkour” skills also known as “parkour”. He did so well with this today and has remembered a lot from his last session, the trainer was able to quickly start raising the board onto higher and higher angles and as you can see from his Insta video today he is so close to having the platform almost perfectly straight against the wall and this is all after only 2 sessions! He really loves this skill and if you’re wondering how we do it you can always book a private session and we will be able to show you, or come out to one of our classes and we will be able to show you there as well! :) Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his last session today the trainer wanted to work his brain so started a new skill with him of “toy bucket”. This is his ability to pick up a soft toy and put it into a bucket! This is another form of shape training as we must wait for woody to attempt to pick the ball up and reward him for this to start with to encourage the right behaviours for the skill. This is all his first session was, the trainer stepped back and presented a ball to him and that’s it, the moment he picked it up he was rewarded, this was contained until he was doing is consistently! Going forward the trainer will start rewarding for other criteria such as dropping the ball closer to the bucket and then eventually into the bucket! Focus: Foundation B
