Woody's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: This session focused on his manners when attaching the lead and his drop skills. When he is barking non-stop, simply wait him out. It might take a while to start with (wear earplugs or noise cancelling head-phones). As he is quiet, go to attach the lead, if he starts up again, stop and wait again. This can take a while so be patient! We then worked on his drops outside and inside the classroom around lots of people distractions! He did well, only breaking position a couple times when he was tempted with cuddles by another staff member. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: This session focused on his manners while attaching the lead and then loose lead with auto sits. He was quicker to settle this time but still took a little while. His engagement with loose lead was great, he only lost focus momentarily when another dog appeared with a trainer. We practiced inside and outside turns with abrupt stops to test his automatic sits. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: This last session focused on a shaping skill - quoits! We started with just having the rings on the floor and rewarding him each time he touched them with his nose or mouth. A few times he nibbled the ring and even picked it up briefly. The next step is to pair the ring with the pole, having him move the ring closer to the pole! Focus: Foundation C+

We recommend your next step should be…
