Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: Since he has been smashing his skills the trainer wanted to try and really fill his day with multiple skills. To do this they have split his 3 sessions into training 2 skills each session as to make sure we are checking in with his basics and progressing them as well as challenging him with new skills. First off to get him focused the trainer took him for a walk through the pet resort accomodation around the other dogs. He did really well with this today, keeping a loose lead the entire time and the few times he broke engagement the trainer found it really easy to re-engage him. From here he was taken into the classroom and the trainer activated his brain for the day by challenging his touch targeting by introducing a new item to target being the touch polls! He smashed this first session really engaging his training drive getting ready for the rest of the day! Focus: Conditioning B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For his second session today the trainer utilised that hyper focus they had built up during the first session and took him to a playpen where they did some off lead recall! He was able to be taken to the big play pen today but even this was too easy for him. He has amazing attention on the trainer and just loves to do work so the challenge wasn’t actually recalling him away from things but actually getting him to get distracted away from the trainer! Eventually they had to get him into a sit in order to get some distance away from him! The trainer is extremely impressed with this session and with how far Woody has come, he really is a champion! Focus: Obedience A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Since he was so awesome today in his first two session the trainer thought they would finish his day with some trick training! They did all his favourites including wagon pull, hoop jump and running through the confidence course! Rewarding Woody with activities that he loves doing is not only great for his skills but it also strengthens the bond between trainer and dog, the happier he is doing work the better the bond! He was so awesome today and the trainer highly recommends you come join our next available trick training class with both Woody and Bo! Doing trick training in a group environment would be the next step of proofing some of their skills so you should consider it! Focus: Repetition A

We recommend your next step should be…
