Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For his first session today the trainer worked on the play pens off lead testing a few of his skills. Today he was worked on his elongated sits and. Drops as well as his recall. The trainer realised that all of these skills are great with Woody so in order to keep him challenged the trainer has started introducing even more criteria. Introducing criteria and including new specifics to a skill is how we keep him progressing. The criteria that was added today was the trainer wanted Woody to finish his recall standing next to them and facing forward. To begin he needed to be lured into the position as he was coming in from the recall, but he was able to drop the lure very quickly showing us just how quick he is with progressing! Awesome first session. Focus: Obedience A
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For his second session today the trident wanted to work on some skills that are a little more active and so continued his work on his wall run and his hoop jump! His wall run is coming along great, he is starting to jump into the skill which makes the whole process much easier, if he adds speed and jump into the board he is running across it makes it easier for him to cross the board the way we are asking. He did really well but started loosing energy and focus so the turner finished this session with a skill he knows a little better with hoop jump! He is also doing really well with this being able to increase the height even more today! Starting him in a sit helps him target the hoop and really launch into the skill so use this if working this skill at home! Focus: Repetition B
Skill learnt: Exposure Comment: For his last session today the trainer did some Art making for Art week this week! He did really well, with his first paw he was a bit unsure when it hit the paint (as you can tell from the art) however with some patience and rewarding with food for letting paws be touched trainer was able to get him to calmly allow his paws to be grabbed, put in the paint and pressed against the paper for the last 2! He did get a bit of paint through his white coat so the rest of the session was spent cleaning Woody by giving him a quick wash! Focus: Desensitisation X
