|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For Wolfgang's first session the trainer focused on loose lead walking outside. He did such a great job that the trainer took him straight up to the cattery. Again his engagement was fantastic and although interested in the cat was able to still focus on the trainer and do what was asked of him. The trainer took him to where Luther was being trained and Wolfgang then did begin to show signs of being distracted. However the trainer kept changing directions whenever Wolfgang pulled and it didn't take long before Wolfgang was walking well again. Great job and keep practicing at home. It is working||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Wolfgang had a focus on place for his second session. Again the trainer took him outside for this. Wolfgang did a great job of holding the place position while the trainer walked some distance away. He even ignored a soccer ball being kicked around. The trainer than worked on send to place from a distance. This is in the beginning stages and he did well. Keep practicing this at home, increasing the distance to send to place slowly so he is very clear on what he needs to do.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Drops are something that Wolfgang is not as good at. The trainer took him again to the cattery and he did a great job of learning his drops there. First of all he was lured into position and then progressed to a hand command with the word. The trainer rewarded with the yes marker to encourage him to stay in position. Towards the end of the session the trainer was able to stand upright without Wolfgang breaking position. Keep practicing this at home. Start at the basics again using a lure and low level distractions. He did a great job today!||Focus: Repetition||D+|
