Winston did some great work today! He is doing fantastic at his drop skill and is slowly starting to focus during loose lead. He loves his training sessions and cuddles with the staff.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his first session we worked on drops inside the classroom with no other distractions. Our focus today was to get his drops on a verbal only cue - Winston did really well with this and was able to drop 90% of the time with just the word "drop". He was also very good at holding his drop for several seconds with the trainer moving a little around and waited for his release word.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For his second session we worked on loose lead in the classroom with another dog present. Winston can get easily distracted when walking but will refocus with food and we spent time luring him along the left side of the trainer. He has a good idea of the basics of this skill so just work on his distraction level in the house and yard.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Crate Training||Comment: For his last session we spent a bit of time with crate training. Winston was a bit hesitant with our crates, particularly if they were covered. We started off with an uncovered crate and once he was happy to follow treats inside we moved to a covered crate. The covered one took a little longer but before long Winston was going all the way in for treats. This will help him feel much more comfortable being crated in the classroom during future dayschools.||Focus: Repetition||B|
