Willow's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Willow began her day with her ‘place’ training, focusing on duration with dog distractions. She did really well! Willow remained on place, only breaking a couple times at the beginning due to excitement. With the use of her non-reward marker “ah ah”, she would hop back on place and remain there. She was not phased by the other dogs and settled down quickly, which is great! Keep pushing her with this skill, she is doing really well and we would love to increase her distractions in the future. Focus: Duration B+
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: Next up, Willow worked on her ‘spin’ skill. Spin is such a great skill as it acts as a mini recall and can redirect unwanted behaviour (ie: jumping). Willow has good understanding of this skill, however there were a few times where she would jump then sit, instead of spinning. With the use of her non-reward marker “ah ah”, the trainer would then ask her again and she would do it correctly. The next step for Willow would be to slowly fade out the lure and have her perform the skill with just the verbal cue and hand motion. Keep on practicing this with her!! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: To finish up, Willow worked on her ‘loose lead’ walking in the classroom with dog distractions. She did so well!!! Willow had awesome engagement and walked beautifully next to the trainer. The next step for her would be to increase distraction levels; food, toys, etc. Keep up the great job at home!! Focus: Distraction B+

We recommend your next step should be…
