Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |
---|---|---|---|
Skill learnt: Place Training | Comment: In Willa’s first session we practiced her place skill. At first we did small repetitions to re wore her brain. After awhile we started practicing distance while her in place, so taking one step back then another. Walking around the object while she’s on it is our next step, so our aim is to walk around the object without her breaking. She did really well with this skill and eventually laid down as well. | Focus: Distance | A |
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: Her second session we practiced Loose lead walking. We first practice this skill inside where there were less distractions, and because she was doing so well we then progressed outside. She was distracted at first when we were outside but that quickly calmed down and her engagement was fantastic outside. | Focus: Distraction | A |
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down | Comment: Willa’s last session we practiced her drops. First we did small repetitions then as the session went on we increased her duration in the drop. She didn’t do to bad of a job she’s only young and is really excited so with more practice her duration will be fantastic. | Focus: Duration | B+ |
