|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: In his first session, Wesley focused on further developing his recall under high distractions (training outside with another dog nearby). We focused on this to proof his recall around distractions. Wesley was initially very excited to be training and showed little engagement. The trainer used his known skill of drop to help redirect his focus. Once engaged Wesley performed well with his recalls around small distractions. He was initially very distracted by the dog but with some guidance, he began to maintain it well.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: In his second session, Wesley focused on further developing his skills middle within the classroom. Wesley can struggle to go into the middle position while standing in front of the trainer. However today he showed great improvement from last week going into the correct position quickly. The trainer was able to fade the lure and add the verbal cue while he continued to perform well.||Focus: Back to Basics||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his final session, Wesley focused on further developing his skill bow with duration within the classroom. We focused on this skill to help further develop his understanding of this skill and begin building duration. Wesley initially struggled with his bow today, he would go into drop instead. However, with some guidance, he began to perform well. Once he was performing well the trainer challenged him with started to build duration. This was initially challenging, but he progressed well throughout the session.||Focus: Foundation||B|
