Mr Wesley showed great progress with his skills today and showed great engagement. He also enjoyed a little birthday photoshoot with his brother Winston.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Recall||Comment: In his first session, Wesley focused on further developing his recall outside around distractions. Wesley performs well with his recall when in a low distracting environment. Once the distractions increase he can struggle to show engagement with his trainer and gets distracted by the environment. However, with some guidance, he began to perform well. Today he completed several repetitions of his recall with minimal guidance, with another dog nearby.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: In his second session, Wesley focused on further developing his skills middle within the classroom. We focused on this skill to further his understanding of going into middle while facing the trainer. Wesley initially required a lure to go into this position, this lure was slowly faded throughout the session to continue to guide him into the correct position. When the trainer was only using a hand signal he was initially confused but quickly began to perform well. While practising this skill Wesley initially requires some guidance but after a few repetitions, he begins to perform well.||Focus: Obedience||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his final session, Wesley focused on further developing his skill bow. We focused on this skill to further develop his understanding of bow and building duration. At the beginning of this session, the trainer was luring Wesley into position, marking with yes then throwing a treat to release him. This encouraged Wesley to stand after his bow instead of falling into drop. As the session progressed the trainer increased his time in bow. The trainer was very impressed with his duration in bow by the end of the session.||Focus: Duration||B|
