|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Tyr began his day with ‘place training’ focusing on duration with distractions; scooters, tennis balls, squeakers and just trainer movement. He did pretty good! There were the odd couple times where he would break, but with the use of his non-reward marker “ah ah”, he would jump back onto place so they could continue. He did get quite worked up during this session, so the last 5 minutes were focused on just getting him to relax on place, which he did splendidly. Keep up the awesome work at home with this skill and increase his distraction levels slowly!||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up, Tyr worked on his ‘drop’ skill, again focusing on duration with distractions. He did really well! He broke twice throughout the session, but with the use of “ah ah” and slight lead pressure, he did plop back down into a drop. Tyr withstood the oh so tempting tennis balls that rolled past him all at once, which is great! Keep pushing these distractions with him at home, he is doing amazing!||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: To finish off, Tyr continued to work on his ‘paws up’ skill, focusing on building his confidence. He did amazing! Tyr was so confident and comfortable, not only putting his paws on, but remaining on there until released!! Keep up the awesome work with him at home, it is great to see his confidence rise each time!||Focus: Confidence||B+|
