Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In his first session, Tyr focused on his conditioning to grooming. The trainer began this session in the groom room where the bath and grooming equipment is, in this room, Tyr was initially nervous and struggled to take treats. The trainer chose to move to the classroom where he shows more confidence and begin blow dryer conditioning by playing the sound on Youtube. Tyr showed no interest in the dryer sound, the trainer was able to move it close to his body. Focus: Conditioning B+
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: In his second session, Tyr focused on further conditioning the hydrobath within the groomroom. Tyr was initially nervous in this environment, the trainer started to build his confidence by walking in and out of the room, after a few repetitions he began to explore the environment. The trainer used treats to build his confidence. As the session progressed he began to settle but was still not 100% comfortable in this environment. We began to condition the bath by placing treats inside, he would eat treats and place his head inside. Slowly his confidence grew and he began to place one paw inside the bath. This is good progress for Tyr. Focus: Conditioning C
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In his final session, Tyr focused on further developing his skill place within the classroom. We focused on this skill as Tyr was quite tired after her conditioning sessions. In this session, Tyr focused on holding her place within the busy classroom environment. Tyr loves his place skill and holds it very well despite high distractions. Focus: Distraction B+
