Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In his first session, Tyr focused on further developing his loose lead and working around dogs to further his socilation. Tyr was initially very distracted by the other dog walking nearby. The trainer used his known skill of sit to help redirect his focus. This worked well, he began to redirect his focus. Although he was not 100% engaged during this session he did show good progress with walking around the dog. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: In his second session, Tyr focused on further developing his skill drop around food directions. Tyr has shown great progress with responding to the drop cue and holing duration. As he was performing so well the trainer challenged him with building his impulse control by throwing food in front of him while in drop. He initially broke but with some guidance began to maintain it well. Keep up the great work at home. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In his final session, Tyr focused on further developing his skill place with duration under distractions. Tyr responds well to the place cue and loves being on place. Once on the bed he lies down and relaxes quickly. Today the trainer challenged him with distractions, including balls, toys, food, a scooter, a skateboard and human movement. Tyr did not break place at all during this session. Good progress. Focus: Distraction A
