Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Spin Comment: For session one with Tycho we practiced the skill of spin. Tycho has a decent understanding of the skill although he tends to jump if the lure is too high. So for the remainder of the session the trainer focused on decreasing the lure by slowly increasing the height of the lure. By doing this the trainer saw improvement in Tychos spins. Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For session two with Tycho we practiced the skill of place focusing on his duration using distractions. For distractions the trainer used food and toys. As well as many dogs training in the classroom. Pickle did extremely well and remained on place until released. The next step for this skill would be increasing the distractions, this could include moving place outside with the same distractions or adding more. Focus: Duration A+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: For session three with Tycho we practiced the skill of skate. Pickle is doing extremely well with this skill so the trainer throughout the session was increasing the distance between Tycho and the trainer before saying ride it. Tycho had a few fail attempts where he tipped the skate board over but overall he did amazing. Focus: Distance A
