Trinity did some good work today. Once settled in her skills her focus was quite good but she does need a bit more work on her manners when excitable.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For her first session we started work on the drop skill. This is a great skill to help with her settling and when she is overexcited as it is a stronger control skill than sit. Trinity showed no real knowledge of this skill in the classroom so we started with the foundations and luring her into the drop from a stand. It took her a while to understand what was wanted but as the repetitions increased she did get quicker at following the lure into the drop. At home work on the basics of this skill and starting starting build duration in it.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: For her second session we worked on loose lead in the classroom around other dogs. Trinity was quite distracted to start off with but after a few minutes of doing laps and luring into position she settled down really well into the walk! Her engagement was great by the end and she was so focused on the skill. At home work on her engagement and trying to get her focused early in the walk (can use other skills like sit, drop or spin to help with this).||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: For her last session we worked on teaching her a chin rest (resting her chin in the trainer's hand). This is a great skill to help with conditioning her collar touch and to help her settle and focus. It can also help with mouthing by giving her a known skill when a hand approaches her face. We started off with luring her into position and by the end was able to start building a second or two of duration. Keep working on this skill at home to help with conditioning.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
