Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: For her first session today Trinity was super excited so we decided to work on some place training to help her settle. We had to remind her what the skill was by luring her onto the bed a couple times and then she had a light bulb moment and remembered the skill. She did struggle a little bit with trainer movement for distractions so we worked slowly and built her up to bigger movements. Considering she hasn’t been here in a while she did well. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For Trinity’s second session we worked on her loose lead walking. We started in the classroom where she did pretty well, we then made our way outside. We used the large walkway next to the classroom to walk up and down. Her engagement was pretty good but she kept crossing in front of us. Each time she did this we stopped walking, lured her back to our side and then proceeded. She eventually got the hang of it but when she got a bit excited she reverted to stepping in front of us. Keep working on this in low distracting environments to really help her understand. Focus: Distraction C+
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: For her last session today Trinity worked on her sit. We focused mainly on duration for this session but she also did struggle to get into the position initially, she was very distracted and not showing much engagement. To help with this we brought back the lure and did short durations to begin with. By the end of the session she did improve but she wouldn’t hold the position if something was happening. Keep working on this one at home, practicing place as well will help her understand implied duration a bit more. Focus: Distraction C+

We recommend your next step should be…
