Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: In her first session, Trinity focused on further developing her skill loose lead walking around the facility, with people, dogs and car distractions. Trinity was initially over excited and struggled to show engagement, however once the trainer incorporated her known skill of sit she began to redirect her focus quickly. Today the trainer challenged her with maintaining her engagement while walking on the grass, she was initially distracted but redirected her focus quickly. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: In her second session, Trinity focused on further developing her sit while excited, utilising the training game red light / green light. We started this session working on Trinitys sits, she showed good improvement from her prior day school. She listen to the verbal cue and was holding the position well. As she was performing so well the trainer challenged her with red light/ green light. This is where the trainer plays with her (green light) than asks for a skill (red light), in this case, sit. This was initially difficult for Trinity and she required a lure to stop playinghand go into sit. However as the session progressed this lure was faded and she was stopping play to sit. Focus: Obedience B+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In her final session, trinity focused on further developing her skill place, focusing on relaxation within the classroom. Trinity initially required a lure to walk onto the bed. While on the bed she also struggled with duration. However, with some guidance from the trainer, she began to perform well. During this session Trinity was much calmer than in the past even when off the bed. Focus: Manners C
