Tink's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: This session we worked on her drops and sits around the cattery for extra distraction. She wasn’t bothered by the smells and sights of the cattery and showed some great engagement. We mixed it up between the two skills, keeping her guessing! She would sometimes go into a drop when we asked for a sit, so giving her a visual helped out big time! Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: We went outside this session around another dog and trainer duo. Tink was very distracted by this dog, so we created some distance and practiced recalls from control positions. This helped her remain focused on the trainer, whereas when she was given free rein she would become fixated and it was hard to regain her focus. Make sure to set her up for success, if you notice she just won’t focus, utilise those control positions and create distance! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Lastly we practiced some loose lead and door manners around the facility. When approaching a door we didn’t ask for a particular skill, simply waited for her to settle, opened the door slowly then released her through. A couple times she tried to barge through but we were able to just shut the door and try again. She figured this out quickly, waiting for the trainers direction. Focus: Manners B
