Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: We worked in the carpark, focusing on building her engagement around people and a few dog distractions. Tilly was VERY excited to get started today so we also practiced her manners while attaching equipment and exciting her accomodation. She did well around the dog distractions, simply just watched but also checked in with her trainer. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: This session focused on her place and middles skills. She was very distracted by a smell at the start of her session, her engagement was hit and miss to begin with. Instead of trying to force her to focus we allowed her to sniff the air while she held place. Once she was satisfied we weee able to continue with quick repetitions between place and middles. She did well to just watch some dogs move past as well while she held place. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: This session we had some fun with hold, we chose a 1kg weight to really challenge her. She picked this up quickly, biting the weight and holding it for a second or two. She seemed to really enjoy this challenge and was getting frustrated and vocal, which was fun to work with! We love sassy Tilly! Focus: Duration C+
