Tilly was amazing today! She had fantastic focus and her little excitable stomps made the trainer’s day.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Tilly began her day practicing her ‘emergency drop’ skill, focusing on her speed of drops while having another dog and trainer distraction in the classroom. She did pretty well! As she is displaying some guarding while walking with the kids, we can redirect this behaviour by asking for a drop before the stranger/person you see gets too close. Keep practicing her emergency drops at home, focusing on the speed for now. While she is dropping, continue walking along, if she doesn’t quite drop she responds to her “ah ah” marker very well and does as told.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up, continuing with her ‘drop’ skill, Tilly focused on greetings. The trainer created a mock scenario as if a stranger would approach them when on a walk. Tilly did awesome at holding her drop! There was 1 time where she broke, but with “ah ah” she repositioned herself. While the mock stranger approached, Tilly would check in with her trainer, which is exactly what we want! Reward her when she does this! We do recommend a private appointment so we are able to show you and discuss more with you how to redirect this behaviour when on walks, etc. (:||Focus: Manners||A|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: To finish off, Tilly worked on her ‘middles’ skill in the classroom. She is doing amazing with this! Keep pushing her at home and begin to add in different angles to really challenge her. Great stuff today Miss Tilly!||Focus: Distraction||A|
