Thomas's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For his first session we worked Thomas in the carpark with another dog working nearby as a distraction. Thomas was a bit uninterested in the trainer and did struggle a little with engagement though his overall loose lead was pretty good (just a little pulling when he wanted to sniff or look at something). Make sure to build the engagement while walking and rewarding him for "checking in" during walks. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: For his second session we worked on sits in the classroom. He did do a drop instead once or twice but was easy to move into the proper sit. He held it fairly well if the trainer moved a bit away but would get out of it if moving further or with energy. We worked on building the duration of the sit until he was released. Focus: Duration C
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For his last session we worked on recalls in the classroom. Thomas was quite focused on the doorway to outside so it took some time to get his engagement for recalls. When called he would come towards the trainer but would often move past the trainer a bit to wander off so this skill does need some tidying when he's distracted. Focus: Distraction C+

We recommend your next step should be…
