Skill | Comment | We focused on | Grade |

Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) | Comment: For his first session today Teddy was worked on his loose lead skills. Today the classroom was absolutely packed and humming with energy so the trainer worked Teddy in here to help build up his ability to ignore others while on a walk. He smashed this today, while a little distracted when first entering the room it didn’t take long for him to lock on to the trainer and start doing some great work. He was basically attached to the trainers leg for this session and once his engagement had been achieved he barley looked away from the trainer, a great first session! | Focus: Obedience | B+ |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For his second session today the trainer worked on his “toy bucket” skill. He is doing a lot better today! Now he has a good understanding of picking up the ball the trainer is using shape the training to help him now get the ball into the bucket. They are is saying “yes” each time he brings the ball closer to the bucket! By doing this Teddy is using his own brain to figure out what criteria the trainer is after, as you can see from his social slowly he started realising he had to bring it closer to the bucket and each time he did! This kind of training can be slow however this skill will be even stronger in the end as Teddy is figuring it out for himself and therefore will have a better understanding of it. | Focus: Conditioning | B |
Skill learnt: Trick Training | Comment: For his last session today the trainer wanted to work on his roll over skill! Todays session was amazing with Teddy, he started off a bit rough, not even really luring on to his preferred side. However the trainer slowed down the lure hand significantly today and Teddy actually started not only getting on his side regularly but the trainer was actually able to get him to roll over today and not only once but multiple times! This was a great way to finish off his day as it got rid of any excess energy he had left over while also allowing Teddy to have lots of fun! The trainer can’t wait to have him back again soon! | Focus: Repetition | C+ |
