Teddy performed very well today, considering the heat and high distractions (three-four dogs training around him all day). The trainer can not believe how much he loved the pool! Keep up the great work at home.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In his first session, Teddy focused on settling within the high distracting classroom environment with targeting and lots of treats. Teddy was initially overwhelmed by the environment, but with some guidance he slowly began to redirect his focus and began to settle. Using touch and targeting helped Teddy redirect his focus.||Focus: Conditioning||C+|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his second session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill 'drop' with repetitions under high distractions (dogs training within the classroom). We focused on this skill as he has been struggling with his drops recently. Teddy initially struggled to drop within this environment, but with some guidance he quickly began to redirect his focus back onto the trainer and drop well. Once engaged Teddy performed very well, he successfully remained in drop while the trainer walked around him, we suggest continuing to practice this skill at home.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: In his final session, Teddy focused on building confidence while beating the heat with a pool party. Teddy interacted with the shell pool straight away, with some guidance he quickly walked into the pool. The trainer was very impressed with his confidence surrounding the pool. As he loved the pool the trainer used it as a place, sending Teddy to and from. He performed very well this challenge, he successfully went to the pool despite the trainers distance. While we were having fun we also did some apple bobbing (or treat Bobbing), Teddy loved playing in the water no matter how.||Focus: Confidence||A|
