Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: In his first session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill place within the classroom while two other dogs were training. Teddy was excited to see the trainers and head to the training room. He showed great engagement despite the high distracting environment. Teddy loves his place skill, he responds to the command well and holds good duration. Today the trainer challenged him with completing place on a small bed. Teddy followed the lure onto the bed and held good duration. He can become confused when the verbal cue was added, so the trainer continued to use the lure to guide him onto the bed. Focus: Obedience B
Skill learnt: Sit Comment: In his second session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill set within the high distracting classroom environment. Teddy focus on going into sitting while the trainer did strange and weird things, including star jumps, hula hooping, playing music and riding a skateboard. Teddy performed very well, he continued to sit despite what the trainer was doing. He did initially struggle when the trainer was on the skateboard. However, with some guidance, he quickly began to sit while the trainer was on the skateboard. Focus: Obedience B
Skill learnt: Targeting (touch) Comment: In his final session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill touch within the classroom. Teddy performed well, he was initially a little distracted by the environment and struggled to touch the spoon. However, as the session progressed and he redirected his focus he began to touch the spoon with his nose. After several repetitions, Teddy was touching the spoon like a champ. Focus: Foundation C+
