|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: In his first session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill 'loose lead' walking around the Pet Retreat facility. Teddy was initially distracted, to help redirect his focus the trainer moved to a lower distraction environment (classroom). In the classroom, he performed well, walked close to the trainers left side and showed good engagement. As he was performing well the trainer slowly began to open the door and walk outside, he continued to perform well and show good engagement.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: In his second session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill 'drop' with duration and distance. Teddy follows a lure well into drop but can struggle with duration. The trainer used a high reinforcement schedule to encourage him to remain in drop, this was quickly faded as he was performing so well. To challenge him further the trainer began to create distance, taking one step back. He initially broke on the first repetition, but with some guidance, he began to perform well.||Focus: Foundation||B|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his final session, Teddy focused on further developing his skill 'place' with duration and distractions. We focused on this skill to build his impulse control. Teddy performed well, he followed a lure well onto place and has a good duration. Teddy successfully remained on place while balls were bounces in front of him and the trainer walked around the classroom.||Focus: Foundation||B|
