|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Ted’s first session today was place. Today’ classroom was very loud and busy and Ted did struggle with this at first. As the session progressed Ted started to be less distracted and started taking treats. By the end of the session he was holding place and no longer barking at the other dogs. He still broke place a few times with trainer movement. But consider the environment he progressed really well. At home it is good to practice place training in different environments to supply different distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Next up for Ted was drops. However, he was very distracted and had no engagement with the trainer. The trainer used engagement games with treats to help Ted focus more. As the session progressed he started to pay more attention to the trainer. It was at this time that the trainer then started to work on drops. He did a great job and was dropping well. By the end of the session he was holding his drops better regardless of the distractions around him.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Last up was loose lead walking. Again Ted wasn’t very focused so the trainer worked in a very small area and changed direction frequently. Before long Ted was started to check in with the trainer and engaging better. His loose lead walking had improved so much by getting that engagement. Well done Ted.||Focus: Distraction||C|
