Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Summers first session we worked on her loose lead and fading out rewards. Today we worked in various environments (carpark, pavement and on the grass) for different distractions levels. Summer checked in well and responds well to her verbal yes marker to let her know she is doing the right thing. Summer pulled slightly in the session when changing directions while on the grass but overall walked quite well with no treat rewards throughout the session only her verbal yes and some pats as extra praise. Focus: Obedience B+
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Second session we worked on Summers drop skill. She was a bit cheeky in this session and reluctant to go into a drop with the verbal and hand signal. Once in the position her duration is great and can hold it well around various distractions. As she struggled going into position we did lots of repetition until she was responding each time and reliably to these cues. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: Summers final session we went through the obstacle course! Summer started off strong going over the train tracks and under “branches” but was ver hesitant when it came to the wobble bridge once she realised it moved. We spent a lot of time building up her confidence around this and she was able to put her front two paws on it but did not want to put all four paws on. We headed around the other side and tackled the A frame which she loved to climb. We will keep working with the wobble bridge and objects like that to build her confidence around unstable items. Focus: Confidence X

We recommend your next step should be…
