Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session today the trainer worked on her loose lead skills! To really push her today. The trainer took her through the pet resort accomodation where all the other dogs were very loud after the morning routine! She walked amazing through her today, keeping nice and close to the trainers leg and keeping her focus on the trainers face always checking in every 5 meters. Not only did she loose lead like a boss she showed off some incredible door manners waiting at a door for not only the door to open but also for two other people that came through the door as she stayed in her sit and waited for them to pass! Focus: Manners B+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For her second session today the trainer worked on her recall skills. Like last time they took Summer to the grass out the front where there is lots of distractions, she was also worked on the long line today giving her lots of autonomy in her decisions. She smashed this today! She came right back each and every time and even recalled away from a car coming in and out of the main gate as well as people and dog distractions! She was very impressive today during this session and the trainer is very happy with her recall. Focus: Distraction B+
Skill learnt: Obstacle Course (Confidence Building) Comment: For her last session today the trainer took Summer through the confidence course! She was confidently able to tackle every obstacle besides the dreaded swinging bridge again! However there was some progress today! When the trainer stabilised the bridge and got on there themselves this helped entice her to explore the bridge a little more and the trainer was able to get two paws up onto the bridge today before she freaked out and jumped back! This little progress while small is amazing as it’s showing us Summer eventually will come around and when she attempts to cross the bridge and realise it’s safe and not going to hurt her the trainer is confident she will fly straight over it! Focus: Confidence C+
