Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: For her first session the trainer worked on her loose lead walking. The focus on this session today was on Summer engagement and using minimal treats to get her to walk nicely. She is doing really well with this, since we were using less treats the trainer brought her back to the low distraction environment of the classroom to give her the best possibly change at success, the entire time in the classroom she was given a single treat for doing what the trustee asked, since she was doing so well the trainer moved to outside the classroom on the concrete. Not only did she do just as well here the trainer also asked her to sit and drop while they kept moving away from her, she did this every time which is very impressive. Great first session! Focus: Obedience B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For her second session today the trainer worked on her drops but more specifically duration with distraction. To start the trainer had her in the classroom, at this point in the day it was very busy with other trainers and so they used this to their advantage and worked summer around these distractions. She did amazing during this session today, not only did she not get distracted by the other trainers, she was able to drop very quickly when given the command and would drop right next to the distracting trainers and hold this drop even though she wanted cuddles so bad! The trainer also tested her on distance and when they put her in a drop just walked away from her until they hit the end of the line and so would break her off and reward her, she did awesome this session and is showing us she had strong basic skills. Focus: Duration C+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: For her last session today the trainer worked on Summers recall skills with a. Focus on distractions. She was taken out the front to the lawns today, this is a very high distraction environment with everything from lovely smells from the garden to people and dog distractions walking around the grounds. She did so amazing with this today, being able to recall almost every single time even when she was nose deep in a smell! She was doing so well the trainer attached another lead to the short lead making a long lead and tested her on this, she again did amazing being able to recall even on this long line! Focus: Distance C+
