Summer had a great day today working on her skills! Such a happy girl!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Middle Position
|Comment: First session Summer worked on her middles. We went back to basics slightly helping her with a lure to get into position. She is more confident going into position from behind the trainer where as from the front she needs more guidance. When she is engaging she responds to the verbal cue with the help of a treat lure. Keep up the repetition at home to build a stronger understanding.
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)
|Comment: Summers second session we worked on some Paws Up. Summer showed some reluctancy to put her paws up in the pod, to help build her confidence we focused on getting her comfortable with one paw on at a time. She didn’t want to follow the lure but if the trainer held their hand over the pod she would offer her paw and then we moved our hand away so her paw would land on the pod. With repetition she began to feel more confident and by the end of the session was beginning to put her 2 paws on the pod.
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: Summers final session we worked on her drops. Today we worked in the classroom as when we started the session outside she struggled quite a bit with her engagement and following the verbal cue. Heading inside helped her focus a bit more but she still required a hand signal and some guidance to help get into position as she kept defaulting to a sit. Over the session she began responding more to the verbal. Keep working on this at home.
