|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For her first session today Stella worked on her middles skill. Our primary focus for this session was fading the lure. First we had to see where she was up to, we were able to lure her behind us, stand with feet wide apart and she automatically went between and sat. From here we just kept making the lure behind us smaller and smaller. We started saying “middles” as she did it so when the lure is smaller she can put the visual of the handler stance and the word together! Keep up the good work, we put it on our story so you can see how we do it.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Her second session today was all about her rollover skill. We tried doing it on the floor but she seemed hesitant so we put a mat down and did it on this. She might just prefer to do it on softer surfaces. We did manage to get one successful attempt, the other attempts she only managed to roll onto her side. Keep working on this one, make sure she is comfortable with the surface and keep rewarding for little successes!||Focus: Foundation||C+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: Her last session today was focused on rope pull. We used a small piece of rope to help her understand the concept of bite/pull for the wagon pull. Throughout the session Stella only targeted the rope with her nose. We can build this up to a bite as she understands it more and more. Keep working on this one, withholding treats can help create some frustration, which makes her try even harder.||Focus: Foundation||C+|
