Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her first session, Stella focused on learning the new skill of rope pull to eventually develop into pulling a wagon. Stella performed very well, she quickly interacted with the rope, touching it with her nose. After several repetitions, she was reliably touching the rope with her nose. In her next session, we hope to see her beginning to open her mouth onto the rope. Focus: Foundation C+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her second session, Stella focused on learning the new skill skateboard. We focused on this skill to build her confidence and challenge her problem-solving skills. Stella performed well, she quickly followed a lure to place her front paws onto the skateboard. After several repetitions, the lure was reduced as she was performing so well. To challenge her further the trainer began to move the skateboard, she initially jumped off but with some guidance and treats she began to remain on the skateboard. Focus: Foundation B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: In her final session, Stella focused on learning the new skill rollover. We focused on this skill to have some fun and challenge her with challenging skills. Stella quickly followed a lure into the drop position and across her shoulder to roll over. The trainer was very impressed with how quickly she rolled over. Focus: Foundation B+
